Create a mailbox

How to set up a mailbox

A Mailbox is used to receive and store emails from users. Every mailbox has an email address in the format “<mailbox name>@<domain name>”. E.g., “mail@example.com”.

To create a mailbox:

  1. Go to Domains → Mail domains → Mailboxes → Add or if you have at least one mailbox in ISPmanager go to Accounts → Mailboxes.
  2. Enter the Name of the mailbox. You can use low-case Latin alphabet letters, digits, a dot, and a dash.
  3. Select a Domain where the mailbox will be created.

     Details

The system will create the directory /var/www/<mail domain owner>/data/email/<mail domain name>/<mailbox name> where the emails will be kept.
